Privacy Policy

1. Information we collect

• Account details: your name, email address, and a hashed (never plain-text) password if you sign up with email. If you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email address, and profile picture from Google.
• Profile content you add: job title, company, bio, location, phone number, WhatsApp number, contact email, profile photo, cover images, social links, and your theme choices.
• Card orders: the shipping address and card design you provide when you order a physical card.
• Security and technical data: sign-in attempt records and IP addresses used to limit abuse, a session cookie that keeps you signed in, and logs of administrative actions on accounts.

2. How we use your information

• To create your account, sign you in, and show your digital business card.
• To process and fulfil card orders and contact you about them.
• To send essential emails such as email verification and subscription reminders.
• To protect the service against abuse, such as repeated failed sign-ins and scraping.

We do not sell your personal information and we do not use it for advertising.

3. What is public

Once your card is activated, the content of your profile is visible to anyone who has your link, scans your QR code, or taps your NFC card. This includes your name, photo, job title, company, bio, location, phone, WhatsApp, contact email, and social links, but only those fields you choose to fill in. Your sign-in email address is never shown on your public card. When someone taps “Save Contact”, the downloaded contact file contains the same public details. Do not add anything to your profile that you do not want shared.

4. Service providers

We use trusted providers to run Nam. They process data only on our behalf:

• Vercel: website hosting.
• Neon: database hosting.
• Cloudflare R2: storage for uploaded images.
• Resend: delivery of account and reminder emails.
• Google: optional sign-in with Google.

5. Cookies

We use only the cookies needed to keep you signed in and to secure the sign-in process. We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.

6. Retention and deletion

We keep your information while your account exists. You can edit your profile at any time from your dashboard. To delete your account and the data associated with it, email us at the address below and we will remove it.

7. Security

Passwords are stored as salted hashes, connections use HTTPS, and access to administrative functions is restricted. No online service can guarantee absolute security, but we work to protect your information.

8. Children

Nam is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their information.

9. Changes to this policy

If we make material changes we will update the date at the top of this page. Continued use of Nam after a change means you accept the updated policy.
